Embrace the precision and dependability of our AR47 rifles

Designed to keep you on target when it matters most. Our AR47 rifles and pistols come equipped with two gas system lengths – pistol or carbine – each offered at an attractive price point. For those who favor maneuverability and compactness, our selection of 7.62 AR pistols offers the perfect solution for your shooting needs.

Caliber: The AR47 uses the larger 7.62x39mm round, often associated with AK-47s.

Ballistics: 7.62x39 offers 2.5x greater bullet mass and delivers significantly more kinetic energy on the target upon impact.

AR47 Lower: Both rifles use the standard AR-15 Lower receiver, but require different magazines due to different cartridge sizes.

Effective Range: The 7.62x39 AR-15 is best in intermediate range shooting scenarios and excels in medium sized game hunting such as deer and hogs.

Ammunition Cost: Historically, 7.62x39mm ammunition has been cheaper then 5.56 and widely available. Commerical ammunition production in 7.62x39 has increased in the U.S.A. as of late giving shooters more options than old Russian ammunition or low quality steel cased ammunition. *Brass cased ammunition is always best.

Bolt Carrier Group: The 7.62x39 round uses the same bolt carrier but the diameter and the depth of the bolt face are different. Each Pickett’s Mill Armory 7.62x39 Bolt Carrier Group comes with an enhanced firing pin to maximize primer protrusion.

Magazines:  The 7.62x39 round requires a unique magazine. Because the shape of the casing and weight of the round are different, the magazines need a constant curve and stronger springs to accommodate that ammunition.
